Jakarta, 06/04 – Danakini, a financial technology services part of Kawan Lama Group who already licensed by Financial Services Authority (OJK), tied a collaboration with Yokke, a technology company who provide the most complete digital payment solution in Indonesia, to implement a payment transaction with paylater KiniBayar of Danakini through EDC (Electronic Data Capture) device. The implementation of the new feature will be started gradually by April 2023 at ACE and INFORMA in The Jakarta Greater Area. ACE and Informa are retail store parts of Kawan Lama Group. The collaboration aims to reduce the transaction and payment verification time of kiniBayar to 2 minutes, but still ensure the security aspect. 

Gregory Sugyono Widjaja, CEO of PT Dana Kini Indonesia (Danakini), explained, “Following our user growth that continues to increase, we need to improve the pace and efficiency of our services. In that matter we took Yokke as a tech company that is able to accelerate the verification process, especially to respond to the needs of millennials as the majority of kiniBayar users, who expect everythings about fast and simple.”

kiniBayar is a BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) payment service launched by Danakini in August 2021. The feature accommodates the user needs in purchasing retail stuff with tenure options of 3, 6, 9, and 12 months; competitive interest; and no admin fee. Since launched, the user of kiniBayar significantly increased, and by the Q4 of 2022, the growth of its users up to 90% compared to the Q3.

President Director of PT Mitra Transaksi Indonesia (Yokke) Niniek Rahardja said, “The collaboration was built by the same mission of Yokke and Danakini that aim to provide the ease of doing transactions to all Indonesian people. As a technology enabler, Yokke aims to ensure every transaction process to be secure, convenient, and smooth; while Danakini aims to provide an ease of financing access to everyone. The additional option of kiniBayar payment at EDC device by Yokke starts from tha same spirit; add more ease and various transaction options to all customers in Indonesia.”

To make payment, Danakini users who already obtain kiniBayar limit and shops at merchants that already became partners with Danakini only need to tell their phone number to the cashier. The cashier will input the telephone number and payment amount at Yokke EDC device. Afterwards, users requested to confirm the transaction by Danakini apps, choose the payment tenure, and (if any) input the promo code. The process continues with digital signature as a consent of transaction and verified by OTP (One-Time Password) code that will be sent to the user's number. 

In order to provide more ease in shopping for Ied, Danakini also brought a Ramadan campaign program at kiniBayar during April 5 - 26, 2023. All users will be able to optimize low interest rates up to 0,99% monthly, with 3, 6, 9, and 12 months tenure. 

“We started to implement the ease of payment and verification of kiniBayar through the Yokke EDC at ACE and INFORMA, two major retailers of Kawan Lama Group, in The Jakarta Greater Area starting from April. Eventually, the services will gradually be implemented in all Kawan Lama Group retail. Hopefully, by this implementation as well as the kiniBayar Ramadan program, all users will be beneficial to shops for the Ied needs,” Gregory added.
